Things to do in Kellyville on the weekend with kids
Flip Out in Castle Hill is an indoor trampoline park, but it’s also so much more. With laser tag, a parkour arena, a dodgeball arena, a space dedicated to under 8s, and a running wall with basketball hoops as well as a cafe and venue hire available, you can see how Flip Out is the perfect place for a family fun day no matter what the weather. The best thing about a visit to Flip Out is how tired the kids are at the end of it!
With lots of special events as well as birthday party catering, Flip Out is a multifunctional space that’s so much fun for the whole family. Book ahead and get flipping.
Blacktown Leisure Centre: Since it opened in 2003, the Blacktown Leisure Centre had over 16 million visitors through its doors. It boasts a range of health, aquatic, leisure and recreation programs and services. This includes pools, gym, group fitness, creche, 4-court multi-sport stadium, Aqua Learn to Swim, Kidz Blitz school holiday program, tennis courts, squash courts, spa and sauna, and venue hire.
The Ettamogah Hotel has become iconic in Kellyville. The family-friendly venue is modern and exciting and has multiple dining areas that include a large undercover courtyard. Visit for the state-of-the-art children’s play centre that features a rock climbing wall and an indoor play area (and that’s before even getting to the delicious food). The Ettamogah also hosts special events for occasions like Mother’s Day or major sporting events.
Bernie Mullane Sports Complex, named for a counsellor who was well-known in the area, accommodates basketball, netball, badminton, futsal and a number of other sports with its array of courts and fields. It is also home to Livvi’s Place, an all-access playground specifically developed in consultation with local children, people with disabilities and their families, carers and local schools.
Powerhouse Castle Hill: With a history going back over 125 years, it is no surprise that the Powerhouse Museum is a Sydney institution. The Castle Hill site is the most recent Powerhouse to open in Australia and is home to 60% of the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences collection housed across seven massive sheds. There is more to see at the Powerhouse Museum than can be listed here and the best thing is that entry is free. You can participate in one of the frequent events or programs or simply pop in to enjoy the vast collection. There’s always something to delight and inspire the kids.
This list barely scratches the surface of things to do in Kellyville. Along with these five activities Kellyville and the surrounding area are also filled with restaurants and cafes, nature walks and public playgrounds that can all make for excellent family destinations.
If you’re looking for an amazing place to live or just a special place for a day trip, add Kellyville to your list.
