Summer is usually the time when we think about improving our fitness. When the weather is warm, we’re more inclined to head outdoors and enjoy some level of sports activity.

If you live in Kellyville, why not consider joining a local sporting club? You don’t have to be particularly sporty yourself as there are plenty of social benefits as well. You’ll get to meet some friendly people, have some fun and improve your fitness at the same time.

Here are some suggestions for fitness activities that you can enjoy around Kellyville.

Evolve Fitness at Glenhaven Oval

Evolve Fitness runs outdoor fitness classes at the Glenhaven Oval. These sessions are suitable for all fitness levels and are run by highly qualified trainers. Sessions are held during the week either in the morning or evening and there are also some weekend sessions available.

You do need to book in so that the trainers have a good idea of the number of attendants that they will be working with. It’s the perfect way to get outdoors, enjoy the fresh air and get your body moving.

Kellyville Rouse Hill Runners (KRHR)

If you’re into running, why not join the Kellyville Rouse Hill Runners and enjoy some group runs? You’ll experience a highly supportive environment where runners of all levels are encouraged to participate.

The group understands that not everyone wants to run a marathon, so runners of all levels are well-catered for and encouraged along their journey. Run sessions are conducted every day of the week so you’re sure to find one that fits in with your schedule.

Rod Fahey Tennis School

Have you always dreamed of learning to play tennis? Or, perhaps you’re looking for ways to up your game. The Rod Fahey Tennis School is a great option. There are two venues in Kellyville where you can enjoy some expert coaching or book a court for some friendly competition.

The first centre is at the North Kellyville Public School on Hezlett Road. Sessions run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 pm to 9:30 pm and on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm.

In 2022, a second centre was opened at the Sydney Sports Club, 6 Garling Road, Kings Park. This centre is open 7 days a week from 7 am to 11 pm.

The Bernie Mullane Sports Complex is an indoor/outdoor venue situated at 10 Marella Avenue. The complex has 2 basketball courts, 6 badminton courts, 5 outdoor netball courts, and 2 indoor Futsal courts as well as outdoor tennis courts and grass or synthetic fields.
